Warning Letter
A formal notice from the FDA that a company or individual has significant violations of federal requirements. The letter asks for a written response within a stated time. Failure to correct the violations may lead to further enforcement action.
Avoid This Mistake
A warning letter does not settle the matter: later exchanges between the FDA and the firm may change the regulatory status of the issues in it.
